Northern Invasion 2017

Northern Invasion 2017 brings another huge line up to this part of the mid west.

With over 40 bands over 2 days there is everything for everyone from punk to metal.

Concentrated mostly in the 90’s era of music but some newer bands in there also.

Huge crowds each day for massive amounts of fun. With festivals the day’s go by quick.

There is so much to see and do I take random notes through out the day here is a bunch of things that I saw this year.

Things I did not see last year.

Most pit from the sound board to the front of the stage – a guy doing a hand stand on the crowd – a pull top beer, like the 70’s – I think every single person was crowd surfing – Jesus being taunted by Freddy Kruger – several meet n greets at the 93x booth – masks for sale – Keanu Reeves sweet shirt – Alter Bridge solo performance and many more things.

New bands I discovered while I was there. All worthy of checking out.

Dorthy – Rival Sons – Attila – Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes – Citizen Zero – Radkey

Bands I have seen many time sand really enjoyed seeing again.

Kid Rock – Papa Roach – Pretty Reckless – Offspring – Motionless in White – FOZZY – Amon Amarth – Buch – Alter Bridge.

The 2 bands I was really looking forward to see was The Struts and Sum41. I have never seen either one.

This was the third year for Northern Invasion. First year was one day then was bumped up to two days for the last two years.

This was next to the last show for Chris Cornell and Soundgarden. Patrick Dunn shot it cause I was hired to cut out early and shoot a local bands live show for an up and comin new live cd.

Overall the weekend went by super fast but every minute was super fun.

Looking forward to Northern Invasion 2018
