Wage War with Nothing, Nowhere and Spite – The Fillmore Minneapolis – May 3rd, 2023

Wage War’s Manic tour hit the Fillmore Minneapolis on May 3rd, and the heavy-stacked night opened with powerful intensity from Southern California metal band Spite.  Vocalist Darius Tehrani wasted no time in bringing the energy level in the room through the roof with his wild hair whipping, growling screams, and calls for the crowd to circle pit. This ferocity was matched by the whole band and energized the room to start off a great night.

Nothing, Nowhere followed up with even more energy and intensity.  With their rap/metal styling, they brought a different kind of heavy vibe that was also well received by the energetic crowd. His emotionally charged delivery pierced the room, and his band delivered perfectly sharp tones to cut through the powerful lyrics.

When headliners Wage War took the stage, the room erupted. Paired with mesmerizing lights and CO2 effects, Briton Bond’s growls charged through their opening song, “Relapse”. Guitarist Seth Blake provided intense riffs, while Cody Quistad contrasted the sharpness with his haunting and beautiful vocals. They played through a 19-song banger of a set with crowd favorites including “Me Against Myself” of their 2019 album “Pressure” and ending the night aptly on the title track from their 2021 album that they’re touring, “Manic”.
