Live Nation and the United Center present Rage Against the Machine and Run the Jewels
Well we have all waited two and a half years for this tour and it did not disappoint. You could feel the energy as soon as you walked into the building.
Run the Jewels opened. I am not a huge hip hop guy but these guys are so fun. Working the stage with their dj they got the crowd ready for Rage.
As we were waiting to get into the pit for shooting the camera guy told me the band was way hyped up to play for everyone during soundcheck. The stage had curtains all around it and they dropped it when the band was ready. It took a minute to get the curtains out of the pit so we got 4 songs to shoot when the standard is three. The band was on fire!!! The crowd was on fire. The whole place exploded. The first four songs were Bombtrack – People of the Sun – Bulls on Parade and Bullet in the Head. What a rush and it went by really quick. The crowd was mellow enough for us to hang the whole time. We all thought it might get really crazy.
I brought my gear to security and when I got to my seat I saw Zack was sitting on a monitor. He had jacked up his leg. Over two years of waiting and he over did it. But he sat there and sang every song as if he was running all over the stage. We wait today to see what the diagnosis is. The rest of the show was the just the same. ON FIRE. I don’t think they have a bad song. I love everything about them. If this is anywhere near you go.
