New Kids on the Block Mix Tape Tour – Xcel Energy Center – St. Paul MN – June 14th 2022

2022 Mix Tape Tour – Featuring NKOTB, En Vogue, Rick Astley, Salt n’ Peppa

1992 called and said your gonna have as much fun now as you did then, and maybe even more!!

The bands, the music, the dancing, and the nostalgia was in FULL force at this epic concert that literally was just so much fun!

First off…those boys of NKOTB (Donnie, Danny, Jordan, Joey and Jonathan) can still put on a show! They were on point from energy to sound, engaging the concert goers just like they did 30 years ago. One glorious moment in the show was when they stopped the music to say “we missed you”…and the screams and cheers that followed was deafening! You could see the guys on stage just take it all in, almost in amazement that we all still loved to see them! After several minutes of soaking it up Donnie looked up with the biggest smile stating “I think you missed us too!” We sure did!

The rest of the show was an ensemble production going back and forth from group to group, one stage to another with almost zero downtime. It felt seamless!

En Vogue had vocals for days and DANG those ladies looked like fire! Rick Astley came out solo and could fill the venue all by himself. Salt N Peppa had dance moves for days and kept a nice group of supporting dancers around them during most songs.

The stage set up was brilliant for the whole show! Not a bad seat in the house. The main stage extended out in several directions so all performers could engage fully with the audience. The “B Stage” provided an equally amazing space for getting up close and personal. NKOTB grabbing phones and taking selfies with fans as much as they could and even bringing up the youngest fans on stage to sing to!

The music was not just all the beloved hits from the featured bands but also the most amazing compilation of favorite 80s & 90s dance tunes and ballads. Expertly blended we went from singing along from one hit to another! The finale was exhilarating when all performers came on the the main stage to give us one last song…we all got “Rick Rolled” at the very end!

There were smiles for days after the show and even the most hard core 80s rocker who joined our group couldn’t help but exclaim “man, that was just a really good time!”
