🎸 Milwaukee Metal Fest 2025 – Day 3 Concert Review

Date: Sunday, May 18, 2025
Venue: The Rave/Eagles Club, Milwaukee, WI

Day 3 of Milwaukee Metal Fest 2025 came in swinging with a lineup that balanced brutal heaviness, legacy acts, and genre-bending performances. The energy from the crowd didn’t let up, even after two intense days of moshing, headbanging, and beer-soaked chaos.

🔥 Standout Performances

GWAR (40th Anniversary Set)

Review: As expected, GWAR turned the venue into a splatter zone. Their trademark costumes, over-the-top antics, and satire-laced metal had the crowd laughing and screaming in equal measure. Fake blood? Everywhere. Nostalgia? Through the roof.

The Dillinger Escape Plan (Performing Calculating Infinity)

Review: Technical chaos at its finest. The band’s reunion performance was nothing short of legendary, blending mathcore complexity with feral stage energy. Fans screamed along with every jagged riff and breakdown. A true high point of the fest.

Arch Enemy

Review: Alissa White-Gluz commanded the stage with unmatched authority. Blistering solos and melodic hooks made this one of the most musically refined sets of the day. Crowd response was explosive during “War Eternal” and “The Eagle Flies Alone.”

Amigo the Devil

Review: A refreshing and darkly beautiful detour from the fest’s brutality. Armed with only a guitar and gallows humor, he mesmerized the crowd with murder ballads and somber anthems. Surprisingly intimate and emotional for a metal fest.

The Acacia Strain

Review: Crushing heaviness. Their tone was dense enough to shake the floorboards, with fans launching into a barrage of moshing from the first note. “Skynet” closed the set with seismic force.

SCOUR

Review: Phil Anselmo’s blackened supergroup brought a sharp contrast in tone—icy, fast, and unforgiving. It was a relentless set that stood out thanks to its intensity and rawness.

🎤 Crowd Vibe

The crowd was electric—tired, sore, but euphoric. Metalheads from across the country and beyond turned The Rave into a communal celebration of aggression, art, and endurance. From corpse paint to crust punks, the pit was a melting pot of underground culture.

🏁 Final Thoughts

Milwaukee Metal Fest 2025 Day 3 was the perfect capstone to a weekend of sonic mayhem. The festival continues to prove it’s not just a nostalgic revival, but a living, evolving institution in heavy music. If Day 3 was any indication, 2026 will have to push even harder to top this.
