Kid Rock Bob Seger – St. Paul MN – 3/15/2013

Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band co-headline with Kid Rock for the first time ever on March 15, 2013, bringing droves of fans to the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul.

Fans are eager to see not one or the other, but both of the artists, seeing them as icons.  The show is the first of only two collaborations, the second being in the Fargodome in Fargo, North Dakota.  Because of that factor, the fans feel they are in for a treat.

Kid Rock and the Twisted Brown Trucker band take the stage first in front of the eager sold out crowd.  His set lasts roughly eighty minutes with a mixes of hits such as “Picture,”  “Cowboy,” and “Bawitdaba.” A number of songs from his new album, “Rebel Soul” are also featured, including, “Chickens in the Pen” and “Let’s Ride.”

Bob Seger fills the second set with a list of well known hits from over the years, his voice sounding as it had when the songs were first released.  Such crowd pleasers include, “Against the Wind”, “Turn the Page”, “Hollywood Nights”, and many more.

One of the main highlights of the evening is the encore session, in which both Kid Rock and Bob Seger collaborate on a number of songs.  The crowd that spans generations leaves ready to begin the Saint Patrick’s Day weekend, feeling that they have experienced something truly special.
