Wu-Tang Clan – Armory – Minneapolis MN – August 2nd 2019
X-Games brought Wu-Tang Clan to the Armory on Friday, August 2nd. Knowing that they weren’t going on until 12:45 made me wonder how packed it would be. However, Wu-Tang has some very dedicated fans and of course the floor was packed. It was also the 25th anniversary of Wu-Tang Clan debut album, “Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), which is considered to be one of the greatest hip hop/rap albums of all time.
They started off the night by playing the album in its entirety. Old Dirty Bastard’s son, Young Dirty Bastard, filled in for his father, taking place on stage with the other eight original members. They included other hits like, Triumph, in which they closed the night off with.
Wu-Tang definitely displayed their constant talent throughout the years and had everyone in the room dancing or singing along. Even though I ended up with 4 hours of sleep that night, it was totally worth seeing them live.
