Thomas Rhett – Xcel Energy Center – St. Paul MN – September 7th 2019

Thomas Rhett Long Hot Summer Tour 9/7/19 St Paul, MN Xcel Energy Center
The long hot summer tour rolled into the Twin Cites last night to a sold out crowd. One of the things I like about County shows is the crowd.  They are always so into it. Not only the bands but the in between atmosphere. There was a dj spinning songs and pumping up the crowd in between each act. Not what you would think, no country music, rap and hip hop. People were dancing, singing and have a great time which added to the anticipation.
First up was Rhett Adkins who is Thomas Rhett’s father. A seasoned act who brought a lot of energy and was very well received.  The crowd seemed to know most of his songs.
Next up was Russell Dickerson who is a different kind of country artist with a more pop feel. He also has a real hip hop look like Kane Brown. The girls were screeching like a Beatles concert. He was also well received with songs like “Float” and  “Every Little Thing”. The crowd sang along to every song.
Third up on the bill was Dustin Lynch. As the evening progressed the crowd got louder. He has some really catchy songs that seem to be crown favorites. He was really good at interacting with the crowd and you can tell he understood how to entertain them. Some of the crowd favorites were “Seein’ Red”  and “Good Girl”.
Headliner Thomas Rhett made quite and entrance with his opening song “Look What God Gave Her”. There is no denying his fans love him. I have seen a lot of country artists and Thomas Rhett is one of the most dynamic. I was so proud of him, he even used some pyro. It was one hit after another with lots of happy fans.  If you like country music, this s a great tour. Wonderful lineup, who ever put this tour together really understands what fans want.
