The Minnesota State Fair is a Destination for So Much Live Music

It’s almost time to get back together at our beloved Minnesota State Fair! This year’s 12-day celebration begins on Thursday, August 21st and runs through Labor Day.

As excitement builds leading up to opening day, there’s a lot of buzz around what new food creations will be the most sought after, and that truly is big business. So sure, I get that food is key attraction for most everyone who walks through the gates of this massive gathering, but you’ve got to admit that it just wouldn’t be a party without a great selection of live music to enjoy.

Beyond that, anyone who’s ever been to the fair could tell you there’s free music being performed every day across the entire scope of the fairgrounds all day long. Pro Tip: search the daily schedule and filter the Category selector to “Live Music” to get informed on what will be taking place during your visit so you don’t miss a single note.
