The Cult Live at Mill City Nights – Minneapolis MN – March 24th 2016

AEG and Mill City Nights present The Cult live.

The Cult formed in the early eighties are still going strong. In support of their just released album Hidden City, the final in a trilogy and 5th Cult album produced by legendary Bob Rock.  “Hidden City” dives deep into some heavy themes, like spirituality and society. Tracks like “Dark Energy” and “Hinterland” hit hard with that classic Cult sound—Billy’s killer riffs and Ian’s vocals taking you on a journey through these intense, introspective lyrics.  If you’re into rock that’s got depth and powerful melodies, “Hidden City” is totally worth a spin. It’s The Cult doing what they do best—rocking out and making you think.

The Cult always put on a straight forward rock and roll show. This is why seeing The Cult live is always a treat. Ian’s voice is as good as ever. Billy’s on of the best ever and the rhythm section with new comer Grant Fitzpatrick keep it right in time.  Damon Fox joins the band this tour for a second guitar, keyboards and backing vocals.

Over heard a few in the crowd they were waiting since 1989 to see the band.  Overall, this was just a really fun show.  The Cult is one of those type of bands.  You’re always going to have a good time at their shows.
