On March 7th, 2024, First Avenue was ablaze with the electrifying energy of Otoboke Beaver.  The band is a punk rock sensation from Japan. The night was a whirlwind of raw talent, fierce attitude, and unapologetic punk spirit.

From the moment they took the stage, Otoboke Beaver commanded attention. Their performance was a non-stop barrage of high-energy riffs, pounding drums, and rebellious lyrics. Lead vocalist Accorinrin’s stage presence was magnetic. Her vocals alternating between fierce growls and melodic hooks.  They kept the audience on the edge of their seats.

The setlist was a rollercoaster of punk anthems.  Tracks like “Love Is Short!!” and “Don’t Light My Fire” showcased the band’s ability to blend catchy melodies with explosive punk aggression. The crowd responded with equal fervor, mosh pits erupting and bodies surfing towards the stage.

Transitioning seamlessly between songs, Otoboke Beaver kept the adrenaline pumping. Guitarist Yoyoyoshie’s shredding solos and backing vocals added depth to the band’s sound, while bassist Hiro-chan and drummer Kahokiss provided a tight rhythm section that drove the music forward with relentless force.

The atmosphere at First Avenue was electric.  Fans of all ages and backgrounds united in their love for punk rock.

One of the standout moments was “Anata Watashi Daita Ato Yome No Meshi,”.  It’s a song that encapsulated Otoboke Beaver’s blend of humor and ferocity. The audience sang along to every word, celebrating the band’s fearless approach to music and life.

As the set drew to a close, Otoboke Beaver left the stage to thunderous applause. Their encore, featuring “Datsu. Hikage no onna” and “I Am Not Maternal,” was a final burst of punk rock brilliance that left the crowd craving more.
