Lynch Mob Final Show Concert Review: A Legendary Farewell
Lynch Mob’s final show was a bittersweet event, filled with nostalgia and raw energy, as the iconic band led by the legendary George Lynch bid farewell to their devoted fans. The atmosphere was electric, with anticipation hanging in the air as the band took the stage one last time.
Opening with “Don’t Close Your Eyes,” fans were immediately thrown into the heart of Lynch Mob’s signature sound—a mix of hard rock, blues, and that unmistakable guitar work that George Lynch is known for. From the first riff, it was clear that Lynch’s virtuosity was in full force. His solos were as sharp and powerful as ever, cutting through the air with precision. You could feel the raw emotion in his playing, especially during the instrumental “Mr. Scary,” where he absolutely shredded through each note with his trademark tone.
The setlist was a perfect blend of classic Lynch Mob songs and Dokken hits, ensuring that both long-time fans of his earlier work and those who followed his journey with Lynch Mob were fully satisfied. Songs like “Wicked Sensation” and “River of Love” had the crowd singing along, while the heavier “Sweet Sister Mercy” showcased how the band’s sound had evolved over the years.
Vocalist Gabriel Colón did an impressive job, capturing the essence of Lynch Mob’s sound while adding his own unique flair. His voice was strong, hitting those high notes in “Paris Is Burning” with ease, and his stage presence was magnetic, engaging the crowd throughout the show. The rhythm section, featuring bassist Jaron Gulino and drummer Brian Tichy, brought a tight, driving force to the performance. Brian Tichy energetic drumming and Gulino’s solid bass lines gave each track an added layer of power.
There was a palpable sense of appreciation from the band toward the crowd. Lynch, ever the humble rock god, spoke about how much the fans meant to him and how deeply the band’s journey had affected him. For many, this farewell was an emotional moment, as it marked the end of a significant era in rock history.
When the final notes of “Wicked Sensation” rang out, the crowd gave the band a standing ovation. They then went right into Tooth and Nail.
Lynch Mob’s final show was more than just a concert—it was a celebration of a legacy that has influenced countless musicians and shaped the hard rock scene for decades. As George Lynch left the stage one last time, there was no doubt in anyone’s mind that his impact on music would be remembered for years to come.
