Kane Brown – Target Center – Minneapolis MN – January 21st 2022

Target Center presents Kane Brown with special guests Chase Rice & Restless Road.

Review and photos by Kyle Hansen

It was a great night for live music. To say we all need this after the last 2 years is an understatement. I have been covering quite a bit in the last 18 months and everyy night is amazing and everyone is so happy to be out and living, seeing live music and having fun.

Restless Road was first up. They released their debut EP this year. They have huge energy and great songs with a lot of hooks. Zach Beeken and Colton Pack met Kane on the X Factor way back in 2013 which is the connection to the tour. 2013 saw the formation of the band so they have been at it for a while. Good to see their first show in Minneapolis and their popularity growing.  They will be back at the Fine Line on May 5th. All things Restless Road click HERE

Chase Rice was first scene on Survivor Nicaragua where he came to the end but lost to Jud Fabio Birza. On the show he did showcase Buzz Back which got some attention and got him signed. I am gonna have to rewatch that season. Since then he has released 5 albums with his latest The Album which came out in May of last year. He has collaborated with a ton of country musicians and has made a name for himself in this genre. I do like his more laid back southern rock / country style. He was great tonight and was having fun with the crowd all night long. Taking selfies – singing all sorts of items in the front row – gave away a few hats to adoring fans and over all just glad to be here. I really dug Key West to Colorado, Break Up Drunk, Drinking Beer Talking God Amen and If I were Rock n Roll. He wrote that one while at home during lock down and said it’s his most personal song to date. All things Chase Rice click HERE

Kane Brown has become a massive star in the past 7 years. He started posting to songs social media which exploded and eventually got him signed. He raised funds online to record an ep and has been snowballing ever since. He obviously now is selling out arenas. Tonight started with him propelling from the top of his video screen with a Timberwolves jersey on. Fitting, since he is in their arena. With a big cat walk in the center he commanded the crowd all night. It was packed on the floor and in the seats. I was refreshing again to see everyone having a good time. It is truly amazing that with only 2 full length album you can become this popular. Well he also has a bunch of singles and ep’s also.He told stories about his life during his acoustic set and got really emotional which shows how much this means to him. As a country pop artist he had a cool pop/country sound. It is totally different then what is out there and connects with a lot of people. A huge part of the evening was a guy proposed to his girl and Kane brought them on stage and gave them the front of the cat walk hile he sang so they could have their first dance. Very classy.

I do like experiencing new music I am not 100 percent familiar with and tonight I came out with a new band to listen to and go back and check out some of the older albums of the main guys.

The tour has a few days left so click HERE for more info.
