Ice Spice – The Fillmore – Minneapolis MN – August 14th 2024

On Wednesday night, Ice Spice brought her highly anticipated Y2K! Tour to The Fillmore, following a last-minute venue change from The Armory. The evening kicked off with a set from Cash Cobain, a New York-based drill rapper known for his melodic twist on the genre. His performance was brief but engaging, featuring a blend of smooth, melodic drill beats and dynamic stage presence as he moved around, energizing the crowd.

After a brief half-hour delay, the excitement in the room escalated as a giant cartoon blow-up of Ice Spice began to inflate, signaling that the main event was about to begin. The anticipation reached its peak as Ice Spice emerged from the smoke that had enveloped the stage, opening her set with “Popa,” a new track from her latest album Y2K! She then transitioned seamlessly into her viral hit, “Munch (Feelin’ U),” with her backup dancers adding an energetic visual element to the performance.

The setlist continued to impress as Ice Spice showcased more songs from her latest project, including the recent hit single “Did It First (with Central Cee)” and “Oh Shhh… (with Travis Scott).” The crowd’s energy was electric throughout, culminating in a huge roar when Ice Spice delivered her verse on the fan-favorite track “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2” alongside English rapper PinkPantheress. The performance was a testament to Ice Spice’s growing prominence in the music scene, blending powerful beats with charismatic stage presence.
