Unleashed: F1rst Wrestling – First Avenue – Minneapolis MN – November 14th 2021
F1rst Wrestling and First Avenue present Unleashed
Review and photos by Brian Curski
Capping off a big week for professional wrestling in the Twin Cities, F1rst Wrestling returned to First Avenue downtown Minneapolis last Sunday for Unleashed. After All Elite Wrestling took over Target Center the previous two nights, fans were primed for another great wrestling show, and they got one.
The Standout matches for me were the first two. Devon Monroe bested Arik Cannon to take the Uptown VFW Championship to open the night. With a hot crowd, Darin Corbin came out and asked anyone in the back for a fight. Effy came through the curtain for a match that ended with broken folding chair and sheet pans, pieces or a door all over the mat, and a lot of blood from both wrestlers.
That doesn’t mean the night slowed down. The finale was Ariya Daivari against long time pro Christopher Daniels. The night ended with the victorious Daniels telling the crowd he’s ready to come back and face Daivari again at F1rst, while the fans chanted “Please Come Back”.
Want to see it for yourself? F1rst has three shows in the next couple months. An all ages show “Holiday Havoc” in St Paul on December 19th, and two nights of Wrestlepalooza back at First Avenue on January 8th and 9th. As was mentioned last Sunday, January 9th will be Wrestlepalooza 20, and you never know what can happen to mark a special occasion!
