Under a beautiful sunset on a perfect summer evening, Carrie Underwood delivered a beautiful and flawless performance at the Treasure Island Casino outdoor amphitheater as part of the summer concert series. The 8-time Grammy winner who rose to fame after her Season 4 American Idol win delighted the crowd with hits spanning her 9 studio albums and including a rock/country cover of Guns N’ Roses “Paradise City”.

Country singer songwriter Caroline Jones opened the show with energy and flair, not at all dampened by the heat of the evening sun shining hard onto the stage.  The multi-instrumentalist showed her power as both a musician and singer, with a strong and charismatic stage presence full of stomping and showmanship that matched her lively musical style.  The country star and recent addition to the Zac Brown band just emanated an infectious happiness that when combined with her commanding vocals created a perfect energy for a summer evening of beautiful music.

Carrie Underwood took the stage to the cheers of a full 16,000 capacity amphitheater, and immediately took that energy and pushed it back through her performance.  Dazzling in a sequined jumpsuit, she opened the show with “Church Bells”, with her distinctive vocals blanketing the beautiful setting.  Often known for her costume changes and high production shows, this down-to-earth set was a stripped down, no-frills display of her musicality, with a relaxing ambiance that showcased the talent and charisma that has made Carrie Underwood the superstar that she is.  Her energy radiated throughout her set, with favorites like “Cowboy Casanova” and “All-American Girl”.  The Guns N’ Roses cover of “Paradise City” was heavy with screams and hard rock vibes that showed her power and the validity of her opening spot on next month’s Guns N’ Roses shows.  Closing the night with crowd favorite “Before He Cheats”, she left the crowd with an unforgettable night of great music and energy under a picture perfect summer night sky.
