Barry Manilow – Xcel Energy Center – St. Paul MN – April 7th 2016

Barry Manilow returns to the Twin Cities at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

This will be Barry’s last tour so I have to see him. After going to Iron Maiden in Chicago the night before I had to make sure I was up and on the road early.

The iconic singer-songwriter Barry Manilow is known for his smooth voice and timeless hits.  He has left an indelible mark on the music industry. With a career spanning decades, Manilow’s catalog includes chart-topping classics like “Mandy,” “Copacabana (At the Copa),” and “Can’t Smile Without You.”

His ability to blend pop, jazz, and Broadway influences has earned him a dedicated fanbase worldwide. Music lovers of all ages celebrate Manilow’s concerts for their energetic performances and heartfelt ballads, making him a favorite.

Beyond his music, Barry Manilow is known for much more.  His philanthropy and support for various charitable causes, demonstrate his commitment to making a positive impact beyond the stage.  With a legacy that continues to resonate, Barry Manilow remains a true icon of popular music, beloved for his distinctive voice, memorable songs, and enduring influence on the entertainment world.  Barry’s show was a greatest hits package backed by his Las Vegas band of many years. He knows exactly what the crowd loves.

A few jokes lots of smiling and being thankful of everything he has achieved. A few stories of how he started, calling himself the Justin Bieber of the seventies and a great medley.  The introduction of Mandy was the Midnight Special intro from the early seventies.

It was great to hear a ton of classics from my childhood. Thank you Barry Manilow.
