Almost Cooper – Le Musique Room – St. Michael MN – April 11th 2019

Almost Cooper has their debut show.

Almost Cooper is made up of several Minnesota musicians. Bobby Jensen from Hairball fame plays Alice. Tim Kletti of Arena and Tyler Taz on lead guitar, John Lockner on Bass, Kris Vox of Hairball fame on drums and 3 naughty nurses, Steph Leisa and Carissa. The band is incredible. All the songs are spot on.

They do a perfect Alice Cooper tribute show. It starts with No More MR Nice Guy, we will just call him Alice for the review, up on the big monster making machine. The stage has all the props you would want for an Alice show. The band then kicks into Black Widow and right into Under my Wheels. Bobby is about as close to Alice as you will get, without being Alice himself. He does him every night with Hairball, so it was a treat to see a whole Alice show. Up next a rare song Lost in America, Nightmare Intro and into Billion Dollar Babies. He has the sword with money flinging all over the place. Throughout the night we had all the props, Dirty Diamonds he throws out fake diamonds – Cold Ethyl we have an Ethyl – Guillotine for chopping his head off – Giant Frankenstein for Frankenstein, they are all there. These props are made from Alice’s guy who makes his props. So you can’t get any better. We also have Hairosmith make up and hair artists dressed up as the 3 nurses to help out with stage and torture Alice. Even the stage hands all have the costumes on. The show is absolutely fantastic they hit everything an Alice Cooper show should have.

Setlist – No More Mr Nice Guy – Under My Wheels – Be My Lover – Lost In America – Welcome to my Nightmare (intro) – Billion Dollar Babies – Bite Your Face Off – Poison – It’s My Body – Dirty Diamonds – Frankenstein – Cold Ethyl – Paranoic – Killer / I love The Dead – 18 – School’s Out.
