Yung Gravy with Pouya, 1900 Rugrat, Pertinence and Melly Mike for Gravy Fest at the Armory – Minneapolis, MN – November 26th, 2025

Minnesota rapper Yung Gravy delivered a memorable hometown festival full of nostalgia, humor, and unabashed indulgence in groove and fun at the Armory in Minneapolis, MN on a chilly Thanksgiving eve for an excited and animated crowd. Wrapped in the trappings of a modern hip-hop festival, the line-up included Melly Mike, Pertinence, 1900 Rugrat and Pouya, giving the night varied textures from underground trap to gritty, more emotional rap.
As Yung Gravy took the stage after the parade of support acts, the hometown crowd was welcoming to the Minnesota-born artist, and there was a palpable sense of hometown pride, with the audience shouting lyrics back, singing along, and embracing both the nostalgia and the newer songs. That pride was also referenced in Yung Gravy’s varied outfit choices, including his Mayo High School football jersey from Rochester, MN to a classic Minnesota North Stars jersey.
Gravy Fest was a ride, sometimes fun and silly, and sometimes loud and ironic, but always uneven in the best and most surprising ways. The whole night felt like a chill, fun send-off into the holiday season, less about seriousness and more about enjoying the night, the music, and the company, and that welcoming and unpretentious vibe seemed to match Gravy’s personality as he delivered big time with a weirdly warm, chaotic, and exuberant celebration and hometown reunion with a fun lineup of talented guests.
