Three Six Mafia – The Fillmore – Minneapolis MN – March 7th 2020
Live Nation and The Fillmore present Three Six Mafia
Three 6 Mafia performed on stage Saturday night at The Fillmore in Minneapolis. Rap vet’s Juicy-J and DJ Paul rejoined for a 6 stop reunion tour this spring
For years Three 6 Mafia has been in my rap and hip-hop music rotation. Turn back the clock to the late 90’s or early two-thousands when the group of stylistic rap and hip hop elements hit the mainstream media with swaggering hits like Ridin On Spinners, Stay Fly and Sippin On Some Syrup.
From the moment fans entered through the doors, they knew it was going to be an awesome concert. The Memphis based group killed the set when they played with some of their old stuff that I absolutely love. The show kicked off with Slob On My Knob, Who Run It and Tear Up the Club. This is the first time that I’ve seen them perform on the main stage and crossing my fingers that it won’t be their last. Sadly with the loss of former member Robert Phillips aka Koopsta Knicca and Ricky Dunigan aka Lord Infamous an outlook for a new album is not promising.
Opening for Three 6 Mafia was Minnesota natives DJ Enferno, up and coming hip hop artist Nimic Revenue, iMPayd and rap veteran Lil Wyte.
The concert setlist: Slob On My Knob – Who Run It – Tear Da Club Up – Hit A Mutha Fucka – Side to Side – Dope Boy Fresh – Azz & Tittiez – Where is the Bud (hook) – Bin Laden Weed – Fuck Dat Shit – Roll Wit It – Poppin My Collar – Sippin On Sizzurp (Sippin On Some Syrup) – Tongue Ring – Fuck Out My Face – Half On A Sack – I’m So Hi – Testin My Gangsta – You Scared – Don’t Violate – Lil Freak (Ugh Ugh) – Lolli Lolli – Intl Players Anthem – Ridin Spinner – Stay Fly
