The Stadium Tour – US Bank Stadium – Minneapolis MN – August 14th 2022

93x – Live Nation and US Bank Stadium present The Stadium Tour

After 2 postponements from 2020 and 2021 it is finally here.

Opening up as a special guest is Classless Act. I saw these guys open for the Darkness this year and all I can say is wow. They are from LA and have that rock n roll attitude. They have this awesome groove with an incredible vocalist. Not to mention the energy they bring to the stage. Even when they played the Varsity theater they had that energy. They just released their debut album Welcome to the Show. Their track Classless Act even features Vince Neil from Motley Crue. They go on around 4pm so make sure you get there early to see them. The incredible Joan Jet and the Blackhearts were next. Joan is a true professional. Every show is always a knock out. She just comes in and rocks the house. Her set was a straight forward greatest hits. You can never go wrong with Joan Jett. Setlist – Victim of Circumstance – Cherry Bomb – Oh Woe Is Me – Do You Wanna Touch Me – You Drive Me Wild – Fake Friends – Everyday People – Crimson & Clover – I Hate Myself For Loving You – I’m Gonna Runaway – I love Rock N Roll – Bad Reputation. Poison was the highlight of the night. Wether you like them or not you have to respect their live performance. I have seen Poison since 87 and every time is great. They just love performing live and it shows. The band is always tight and top notch. CC’s playing this time around is still amazing. Even a tribute to Eddie Van Halen during his solo. Bret Michaels is also a hell of a frontman and is very appreciative of what he has. Thanking the photographers for the job they do, always thanking the veterans, praising the crowd left and right. Bobby and Rikki kept the tempo through out the night. Bobby was just all over the stage. They whipped through a greatest hits set which was only 8 full songs, but made me wanting more like Something To Believe In, I Want Action, I Won’t Forget You and so many more. With time restraints I get they can only play so many songs. During Nothing but A Good Time they brought out local singer Shannon Curfman which was a very cool touch of local talent.I still stand by my statement that Poison are a band that must be seen live. Include them in your list of must see bands. Setlist – Look What the Cat Dragged In – Ride the Wind – Talk Dirty To Me – Your Mama Don’t Dance – Guitar Solo – Fallen Angel – Drum Solo – Every Rose Has It’s Thorn – Nothin’ But A Good Time.

Motley Crue, What happened. The sound was awful. The band seemed to be phoning it in. I couldn’t hear Mick’s guitar half the time. It was one of the worst performances I have seen by the band. I could go on more but I will just leave it at that. I got some great pics though.

Def Leppard released Diamond Star Halos this year and it is good to see we got some new music from the band. The album is a tribute to the glam era of the 70’s. I was surprised on how good the album is. Yeah and X were not my favorite albums by the band but they have stepped up on this one. The setlist was heavy on Hysteria but we did get 3 songs of the new album. The Highlight for me is they always include Let It Go and Bringing on the Heartbreak / Switch 625 in the set. I wish they did a few more from that lp but with so many songs it can get tight in the set list. The band never disappoints in their live set. It has pretty much been the same for the past few years. They usually do a tour with other classic rock bands like Styx, Foreigner, Journey to name a few. They even did a tour with KISS a few years back. They are a perfect band.
