The Black Keys Live at Minnesota State Fair Grandstand – August 24th, 2023

The Black Keys Live at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand

The great Minnesota get-together started with the Black Keys live.

Beyond their musical achievements, The Black Keys have left an indelible mark on the rock landscape. Their influence extends to countless modern rock and blues artists. Their commitment to authenticity and passion for their craft sets them apart. Auerbach’s soulful guitar work and Carney’s powerful drumming create a unique and timeless sound.

The Black Keys’ journey from basement recordings to stadium tours is a testament to their talent and perseverance. They have consistently pushed the boundaries of rock music while staying true to their bluesy roots. Each album reflects their evolution as artists, and their live shows capture the essence of rock ‘n’ roll.

The heat wasn’t as bad as was predicted and people did not hesitate to come out and partake in all the fair has to offer.  I always encourage everybody to explore the multitude of music offerings taking place each day and I have to say, Day 1 did not disappoint.

The Grandstand stage hosted American Rock Duo The Black Keys with opening act The Velveteers.  There was also plenty of buzz for The Bacon Brothers who were the headliners at the Leinie’s Lodge.  You will find galleries from both of these shows included in this post.  There is an additional gallery from just some of the other shows I was able to get out to including C.J. Carrier, The Quebe Sisters, Chris Kroeze, Javier Trejo, Doug Collins, Sarah Morris and Cornbread Harris,
