Stephen Lynch – The Fillmore – Minneapolis MN – December 6th 2025

Live Nation and the Fillmore present Stephen Lynch on December 6th 2025

Review and photos by Kyle Hansen

I’ve been listening to Stephen Lynch for over 20 years, but had never seen him live until now. I was genuinely excited for the show, and he did not disappoint. He started promptly at 8 p.m. and played for a full two hours.

He opened with a bunch of new songs, and they were absolutely hilarious. I’ll try to explain them as best I can:

  • “Me” – A song all about internet addiction and the constant need for attention online. Totally relatable and very Lynch.

  • “Time Machine” – This one was about going back in time to kill baby Hitler… and a bunch of other horrible people. Dark, ridiculous, and classic Stephen Lynch humor.

  • “Queer Tattoo” – He actually played this several times throughout the night. The whole joke was about people’s weird tattoos, and each version got funnier.

  • “Namaste” – One of the funniest songs of the night. It was about him taking a yoga class so he could, well… suck his own dick. And then Ron came out and sat in front of him holding a dildo, which absolutely broke the crowd. Total chaos and completely hysterical.

  • “Windowless Van” – A cheerful-sounding song about his stalker. Only Lynch can make that topic funny.

  • “I Am Way Too High” – A musical confession about eating edibles and getting way, way too high. The audience was dying laughing.

  • “I Came” – Definitely one of the highlights. It was about how he found out about Kurt Cobain’s death. And I’ll just leave it at that… you really have to hear it yourself.

After the new material, he moved on to the classics everyone was waiting for:
Craig Christ, Tiny Mustache, Ugly Baby, Talk to Me, Dad, and D&D. Hearing those live after listening to them for decades felt amazing.

Overall, it was a hilarious night filled with laughter, twisted jokes, and the exact kind of comedy I needed. Totally worth the 20-year wait.
