On February 10, 2026, the the Turf Club in St. Paul, MN hosted a triple-threat modern-rock lineup as No Resolve brought the opening night of their Unleashed Tour through town with support from Shallow Side and Above Snakes.

Boston hard-rock newcomers Above Snakes opened the night and immediately set the tone with a sound that was loud, gritty, and completely unpretentious. Their energy was on fire from the start, and as a tour opener, the started off swinging. Their sound is filled with punchy riffs and high-impact choruses, and performed live, the songs hit harder than the recordings because of the tremendous energy delivered from every member. Frontman Johnny Skulls worked the small stage constantly, rarely staying planted for more than a few seconds, and with his wild hair flying and a broad smile on his face, just lighting up the room with energy. They did a perfect job of setting the energy for the night and getting the room moving.

Shallow Side followed and shifted the vibe from raw aggression to polished arena-rock swagger. Lead singer Eric Boatright took a powerful yet unassuming lead, with his vocals creating the presence of a frontman pulling everyone into the moment with him. Their set felt despite the intimate venue, with massive choruses, clean harmonies, and crowd-ready hooks that stuck immediately.  They balanced melody and heaviness well, moving between radio-ready singalongs and driving rock tracks without losing momentum, and mixing in a fun cover to get the whole crowd included.  They succeeded in building on the energy from Above Snakes and amplifying it with additional depth and power.

When No Resolve took the stage, the reaction was immediate.  There was no slow build, just a surge forward. They balanced heaviness and melody in a way that kept the whole room engaged, and you could feel the push and pull between band and crowd, especially in the bigger choruses from some of their widely loved covers, where the crowd took over entire lines. Being the first live show in quite some time, they also treated the crowd to some brand new, unreleased songs, and it was great to hear this side of their musical expression and emotional depth (which they were grateful to be able to share with more creative leverage as they are now off their previous label). And in the end, the night that started loud ended with everyone singing a Disney song at the top of their lungs, with No Resolve closing with their cover of “How Far I’ll Go” turned the Turf Club into one last, unexpected singalong that nobody wanted to end.
