MUSIC AT THE FAIR | DAY 7 – HANK WILLIAMS JR. – ST. PAUL – AUGUST 27, 2025

While 12-days is a pretty substantial run for the Minnesota State Fair, it moves by pretty quickly. Day 7 is unique in that it is the only Wednesday at the fair and also means we are already past the halfway point. It’s worth calling out that the weather has been favorable so far, which really makes a difference in peoples attitude, energy and enjoyment of this extraordinary event.

The overall theme for attractions on this day was geared towards Kids, but traditional Country Music fans came out to see legendary Hank Williams Jr. headlining the Grandstand, and were also rewarded with a first rate opening performance by Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives (one of the more creative band names in the genre). Younger Country fans headed to the Bandshell for a headlining set by TikTok sensation Tayler Holder and Jimmy Buffet fans were treated to the Parrothead Paradise tribute show in the afternoon.

I also made it out to take in some Reggae vibes at the International Bazaar with Grizzae.
