MUSIC AT THE FAIR | DAY 4 – BLAKE SHELTON – ST. PAUL, MN – AUGUST 25TH, 2024

It’s not unusual to experience some warm weather during the twelve days of the Minnesota State Fair and for this season, Day 4 was certainly one of those.

Being the first of a couple nights of Country music focus on the Grandstand stage, a capacity crowd was treated to a one-off performance by Blake Shelton who is not currently on tour. As always, his charm and quick wit were on full display as he offered up a first class performance and appeared to have a blast doing it. He brought along new comer Emily Ann Roberts, who has managed to kick-start her music career by gaining an abundance of exposure while being a part of Team Blake on The Voice.

The Shell’s stage in the West End Market was a really fun place to spend a couple hours both Saturday and Sunday afternoon with some really unique and entertaining talent. Guitarist Alexander Craig motored through a set of tunes that it’s hard to put a label on, but the material reels you in and keeps you listening. Additionally, his style and delivery alone are worth the price of admission.

Also unique to the Bluegrass/Americana genre are Wisconsin based High & Rising. The quartet is rich on talent and in addition to their original material offer up a unique take on some well known tunes.
