The Mellodeath tour, co-headlined by artists Marshmello and Svdden Death blasted and blitzed the Armory in Minneapolis, MN on April 13th, 2024.  It was a sold out show and the crowd showed up dressed up and ready to party, with glow sticks and energy to match the intense light and laser shows that would follow.

Munk started off the night, shrouded in the darkness and only visible by the large fuzzy hat on his head.  He delivered deep beats and got the crowd energized to start the party.  YVM3 was next, and even more mysterious, the artist never took to the stage, but instead appeared in a graphical form on screens at the back of the stage, intermittent with other flashing and turning graphics.  Next up was Virtual Riot whose show just continued to increase the energy and intensity of the room.  The German DJ was joined by his visual artist partner on stage as he proclaimed, “she controls what you’ll see and I’ll control what you hear”.  They provided a show for all the senses, with stunning graphics and lights and captivating sounds.

The night was capped with co-headliners Marshmello and Svdden Death delivering an intensely amazing show.  They entered the stage, and immediately stepped onto a platform which raised onto a second tier stage, about 20 ft above the mainstage.  As the music began, a large pyrotechnics display was also launched, including firecrackers and a concussion blast that delivered and intense flash of light and heat.  The music was paired with crazy laser displays, bouts of pyrotechnics and lights that danced off the walls and ceiling of the armory.  The packed and sold-out Armory was alive and the floor shaking with jumping and dancing and the crowd having the party of their lives, and it was clear that it was exactly what they had been hyped for all night.
