Varsity Theater presents The Eagles of Death Metal.

This show sold out right away. The show is in support of their latest release, Zipper Down.  Released on October 2, 2015, “Zipper Down” immediately garnered attention with its provocative title and eclectic mix of tracks. The album kicks off with the infectious groove of “Complexity,” setting the tone for what’s to come. Hughes’ charismatic vocals and Homme’s guitar wizardry shine through in songs like “Silverlake (K.S.O.F.M.)” and “Got a Woman.”  For fans of Eagles of Death Metal, “Zipper Down” is a must-listen. It’s an album that celebrates the joy of rock music while embracing the band’s unique personality. Whether you’re drawn to their catchy hooks, energetic performances, or irreverent charm, “Zipper Down” is a testament to the enduring appeal of Eagles of Death Metal in the world of modern rock.

It’s always nothing but a great time when the this band come around. They seem to have their own unique version of rock and roll.  The band’s music draws influence from classic rock bands like AC/DC and The Rolling Stones, as well as punk rock acts such as The Misfits and The Stooges. This fusion results in a sound that is both retro and modern, appealing to fans of raw, unapologetic rock ‘n’ roll.  You could call it a little bit of heavy metal mixed in with some 50’s rock n roll. They have great tunes like Cherry Cola, I Want You So Hard, Heart On, and I Love You All the Time.
