Powerhouse rocker Dorothy brought a night of raw, powerful, and undeniably authentic rock to Treasure Island Casino in Welch, MN on March 29th, 2025, supported by Minnesota up and coming band Bullets and Butterflies. Pop Rockers Bullets and Butterflies opened the show with commanding energy on the same day of the release of their first full length album “Full Circle”. Front woman Josephine Marie’s beautifully melodic and impressive vocals soared through the event center and were matched with her charismatic energy and sweet and yet formidable stage presence. Their songs were accentuated with catchy vocals and intricate melodies from songwriters Christopher Schara and Wally Joseph. While they are a relatively new band, they draw on experienced musicians from various Minneapolis bands (Vaudeville, Skywind), and they are likely to emerge quickly on the forefront of the Minnesota hard rock scene with captivating performances like this.
Dorothy’s live performance was nothing short of electrifying. From the moment the band took the stage, the atmosphere was charged with raw energy, and frontwoman Dorothy Martin’s intense vocals immediately captivated the crowd. The setlist was a perfect mix of hard-hitting rock anthems and soulful ballads, showcasing Dorothy’s impressive vocal range and emotional depth. Fan favorites had the audience singing along, while newer tracks demonstrated the evolution of the band while they stay true to their gritty, blues-infused rock roots. The band’s chemistry was undeniable, with scorching guitar solos, pounding drums, and deep, resonant basslines that kept the crowd on their feet. Dorothy’s stage presence was magnetic—she commanded attention with every note, exuding confidence and passion. To complete a full concert experience, the lighting and sound production added to the intensity of the show, enhancing the moody, rebellious aesthetic that defines Dorothy’s music. Dorothy’s performance was a thunderous, soul-stirring experience that proved why the band is a force to be reckoned with in modern rock.
