Minneapolis’s Fillmore was absolutely electric on June 9th, 2025, as Bloc Party brought their “20 Years of Bloc Party” tour to a rapturous, sold-out crowd. The energy in the venue was palpable from the moment the doors opened, building steadily through two fantastic opening performances. Blonde Redhead set a captivating mood with their signature ethereal soundscapes, drawing the audience in with their intricate melodies. Following them, Family Dinner delivered a high-energy set that perfectly warmed up the stage, leaving everyone buzzing with anticipation. Both acts were phenomenal, showcasing the incredible talent supporting what promised to be an unforgettable night.

And unforgettable it was. Bloc Party took the stage to an explosive ovation, immediately launching into a set that spanned two decades of their influential career. Kele Okereke’s distinctive vocals soared effortlessly over the band’s intricate guitar work, driving basslines, and dynamic drumming. From the early anthems that ignited a generation to newer tracks that demonstrate their continued evolution, every song was met with enthusiastic cheers and singalongs. The band’s tightness and stage presence were impeccable, radiating a vibrant energy that kept the entire Fillmore on their feet, dancing and celebrating the rich tapestry of Bloc Party’s musical journey.

It was more than just a concert; it was a joyous communal experience, a testament to the enduring power of Bloc Party’s music and their connection with their fanbase.
