Bad Wolves – Varsity Theater – Minneapolis MN – June 6th 2018

93X presents “The What’s In Your Head Tour”, including Bad Wolves, From Ashes to New, Diamante, as well as Minneapolis locals Throw the Fight at Varsity Theater on Thursday June 6th.

I’m sure I’ve said it before, but I will say it again, Varsity Theater is my favorite venue in Minneapolis, probably all of Minnesota, but I haven’t been all over the state. (Yet) The venue has a really cool vibe to it, and some awesome lighting décor. If you have never been there, you need to check it out, as well as the bathrooms, weird I know, but it’s the coolest bathroom in existence.

Throw The Fight’s singles “Not So Hollywood” and “One Step Away” has generated much success on stations like Music Choice and Sirius XM Octane, as well as rock stations around the country. After a break, Throw the Fight are back rocking your ears, along with a new album “Transmissions”, which you can go out and buy now. TTF has worked with other great producers on “Transmissions”, like Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland, whom are responsible for generating August Burns Red, Affiance, Live, and Everclear’s albums. Their album prior, “What Doesn’t Kill Us”, produced by John Feldmann and Brandon Paddock (Atreyu, The Used), has remarkably sold 10,000 copies. This generated a spot on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. These guys are ready to ‘fight’ the competition.

The charismatic blue-haired female lead singer of Diamante puts on a great show with her bright and powerful vocals. Inspired by other female singers like Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, and Debbie Harry. She caught the attention of Eleven Seven Music Group and Better Noise Records by creating her own mixture of classic rock and modern alternative, then being signed in 2015. Volume I and Volume II are Diamante’s latest music releases contain 10 songs, 5 on each, recently released with Better Noise Records. She is also featured in Bad Wolves’ single, “Hear Me Now”.

From Ashes to New has created an appealing mix of rap and rock, which has definitely shown to give them a spot in top rock charts. Lead front man and founder Matt Brandyberry found himself being discouraged when first starting out; however found himself signing with Better Noise Records. After several band members left after signing a deal, they found themselves closer as a band and released their breakthrough single, “Through It All”, played on radio stations across the nation, created tour opportunities for the band. FATN has grown even further throughout the years and get their name out there by touring with bands like Hollywood Undead. February 1st, 2018, the band released their single “Crazy”, off their second album, “The Future”, which was released in April 2018. They have an awesome stage performance and are a must-see.

Bad Wolves has been getting their name out there more recently with hit cover single “Zombie”, originally written by 90’s band The Cranberries. The extremely popular rock cover of “Zombie” has racked up over 33 million views over Facebook and YouTube, as well as hitting #1 on Spotify’s viral chart in over 40 countries and #1 on iTunes’ song chart, was charted on multiple Billboard charts and a groundbreaking 7 million streams on Shazam. Bad Wolves also teamed with a heavy hitter producer, Kane Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Papa Roach), having mixed, “Remember When” and “Zombie”. The band actually sent Dolores O’Riordan (Cranberries Lead Singer) their cover of “Zombie”, which she said she loved, was also supposed to be featured on a new version of the song on the day that she passed away. Bad Wolves has given all the proceeds from the success of their cover hit to O’Riordan’s three children. Their debut album, “Disobey”, was released on May 11th, 2018. This is a band you need to watch out for or are perhaps already hooked. Their stage presence is mind-blowing and a show you cannot miss when they come to your town. I will definitely be seeing these guys again.
