One Hit Wonder Tour — Attack Attack-Savage Hands-Versus Me at Fine Line Music Café- Minneapolis Mn 8-24-25

Review and Photos By: Brian Underhill

Navigating the Twin Cities from Rochester, MN has become a familiar ritual, yet I still find myself relying on GPS. Maybe it’s habit, maybe it’s part of the pre-show anticipation. Either way, I arrived at the Fine Line Café in downtown Minneapolis for a night that promised high-octane energy and genre-bending performances. The One Hit Wonder Tour was in town, featuring Versus Me, Savage Hands, and the resurrected legends of metalcore—Attack Attack.

Opening the night with a sonic boom, Versus Me wasted no time setting the tone. Their fusion of metalcore, electronicore, and industrial metal—what I like to call “cybercore”—was a visceral experience. With tracks like Terrified (2022), Better Off Alone (2024), and their latest single Snakes (2025), the band proved they’re not just riding the wave—they’re shaping it.

Their stage presence was electric, channeling cyberpunk aesthetics with raw energy and tight production. It took the crowd a moment to catch on, but by the end of their set, the room was primed with a circle pit ready to erupt. Versus Me is a band to watch—ambitious, polished, and hungry.

Next up, Savage Hands turned the venue into a pressure cooker of emotion and aggression. Their setlist was stacked with bangers like Blue, Love No More, Halo, Red, and Reloaded Repeat. Each track delivered a punch, with breakdowns that had the crowd surging and spinning in a mid-sized venue circle pit that felt like a full-blown arena.

The lighting was a kaleidoscope of strobes and saturated color, matching the band’s blend of rock, metal, and electronic vibes. Shooting this set was a thrill—no photo pit meant I was in the thick of it, capturing the chaos from every angle. Savage Hands was a revelation, and I’ve had them on repeat ever since.

Then came the moment everyone was waiting for. Attack Attack! took the stage like they never left. With only founding drummer Andrew Wetzel remaining from the original lineup, the band’s return after a 13-year hiatus felt like a resurrection. Their set was a spectacle—custom lighting, a massive backdrop banner, and a sound that shook the walls.

With a new album called ATTACK ATTACK II songs like Dance, AC-130, Stick Stickly, and classics like All My Life, and Smokahontas reminded fans why they fell in love with the band in the first place. The energy was relentless, the crowd fully engaged, and the Meet & Greet afterward was the cherry on top. Attack Attack! proved they’re not just back—they’re reborn.

My final thoughts are. The One Hit Wonder Tour was anything but a one-note affair. Each band brought their A-game, and the Fine Line Café—despite its unconventional layout—was the perfect setting for a night of sweat, sound, and celebration. The staff were welcoming, the crowd was wild, and the music was unforgettable.

This wasn’t just another show—it was a statement. Attack Attack! is back. Versus Me and Savage Hands are rising fast. And I’m already looking forward to the next one.

Until then, keep your ears open and your GPS charged and schedules open!
