On April 6th, The Filmore in Minneapolis was filled with excited fans waiting for the Aly & AJ concert. The venue was packed, and the energy was palpable as everyone eagerly awaited the arrival of the pop duo.
First up was singer-songwriter and LA native Miya Folick, who performed spirited and emotionally wrenching renditions of her songs such as “Bad Thing,” “Haircut” and “Get Out of My House.” Her energy and enthusiasm was palpable.
As the lights dimmed, the crowd erupted into cheers as Aly & AJ took the stage. The sisters kicked off their set with “Open to Something and that Something is You,” the first single off their latest album “With Love From.” The catchy chorus had the audience singing and swaying along, setting the tone for the rest of the night.
Throughout the concert, Aly & AJ showcased their incredible vocal range and musicianship, switching seamlessly between guitar, keyboard, and drums. They played a mix of new songs and old favorites, including “Potential Breakup Song,” “Like Whoa,” and “Chemicals React.”
One of the highlights of the concert was when Aly & AJ performed a stripped-down version of “Symptom of Your Touch.” The sisters sat at the edge of the stage, accompanied only by a guitar, and delivered a hauntingly beautiful rendition of the song.
In between songs, the two interacted with the crowd, sharing stories about the inspiration behind their music and their experiences on tour. They also took the time to acknowledge and thank their fans for their unwavering support over the years.
As the concert came to a close, Aly & AJ ended on a high note with “Rush.” The crowd sang along to every word, and the energy in the room was electric. The sisters left the stage to thunderous applause, but the crowd wasn’t ready to say goodbye just yet.
Aly & AJ returned for an encore, performing “Blue Dress” and “6 Months of Staring Into the Sun.” The sisters once again showcased their impressive vocal abilities, leaving the crowd in awe.
Overall, the Aly & AJ concert at The Filmore was an unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance. The sisters delivered a high-energy performance that showcased their incredible talent and left the crowd wanting more. For those who were lucky enough to be there, it was a night they’ll never forget.
