Alter Bridge at  Mystic Lake Showroom with Mammoth WVH and Red– Prior Lake, MN – February 17th, 2023

A sold-out audience was in attendance for Alter Bridge at the Mystic Lake Showroom on February 17th in Prior Lake, MN.  Joined by Mammoth WVH and Red, it was a stacked night of hard-hitting rock for an energized and excited crowd.

Tennessee rock band Red opened the night with “Infidel” from their 2020 album Declaration. The heavy intro led into Michael Barnes’s clear and melodic vocals. He mixed effortlessly with dark growls and metal screams. The thunderous beats of drummer Brian Medeiros reverberated off the showroom walls. Guitarist Anthony Armstrong and bassist Randy Armstrong’s energy was contagious, getting the crowd on their feet.

Mammoth WVH then took the stage, opening with the namesake track “Mammoth.” Wolfgang Van Halen showcased his talent as a guitarist and singer. Their 8-song set displayed the group’s musical prowess. Frank Sidoris and Jon Jourdan complemented Wolfgang’s guitar with impressive riffs and well-balanced backing vocals. Bassist Ronnie Ficaro and drummer Garrett Whitlock delivered a solid rhythm line with powerful tones and pounding beats. Wolfgang established himself as a talented multi-instrumentalist, creating his own rock path.

After these two amazing bands, the crowd burst with anticipation as Alter Bridge took the stage. Guitarist Mark Tremonti and bassist Brian Marshall started with the opening riffs of “Silver Tongue.” The crowd’s screams grew louder when Myles Kennedy walked to center stage. The band’s chemistry and joy in performing together elevated their performance.

They delivered energy and charisma, infectious to the crowd. There was a feeling of being part of a special shared moment. Myles’s voice was flawless, showing why he is among the best rock vocalists. He effortlessly floated through his vocal range, soft in acoustic performances of “Watch Over You” and “In Loving Memory,” then powerful in rock melodies. The crowd loved Mark Tremonti’s lead vocals on “Burn It Down,” showcasing his talent as a guitarist and vocalist. Brian Marshall’s riffs complemented Mark’s, showing their genuine enjoyment and connection with the crowd.

Alter Bridge’s set was captivating and a flawless finale to an amazing night of music and connection.
