Oh hell yeah, great news for fans of the The Bad Plus!!
The long running modern jazz trio, who stemmed from the Twin Cities in 2000, are dipping their toes back into performing for live audiences and have announced 6 shows coming up in April at Crooner’s in Northeast, Minneapolis.
Announcing 2 shows a night, April 16-18, these will be the band’s first performances in front of audiences since the pandemic put a hold on activities and first for the The Bad Plus in the Twin Cities since their annual holiday run at the Dakota in 2019.
Tickets will be available for limited seating at Crooner’s as well as available for online live streams.
Drummer Dave King has kept busy the past 18 months, teaching online, performing livestreams and releasing his recent collaboration project called King Broder on Bandcamp.
Stoked to perform for live audiences no doubt, King with co-founder, bassist Reid Anderson and pianist Orrin Evans who joined the band in 2018 and has since helped bring the band to whole other levels, it will be killer to catch these guys continue where they left off.
