Lice, the superduo of lyrical masterminds Aesop Rock and Homeboy Sandman, have announced that their trio of EPs (2015’s Lice, 2016’s Lice Two: Still Buggin’, and 2017’s Triple Fat Lice) are finally being made available on all DSPs in advance of all three releases making their vinyl debut on October 14 (pre-order available now). In honor of the announcement Lice have shared the brand new single “Catfish” – available on all DSPs now – to be followed by Lice on August 24Lice 2: Still Buggin’ on August 31, and Triple Fat Lice on September 7. The re-releases are also accompanied by a trio of new shirt designs, each sporting the original EPs’ artwork, by longtime Aesop affiliate and collaborator Jeremy Fish, available for order now here.

Aesop Rock and Homeboy Sandman are widely lauded as top tier lyricists, renowned for pushing the envelope of creative verbosity in their writing. Despite the inherent complexity of their respective bodies of work, the origin of their collaboration is refreshingly simple. Lice was born from a mutual appreciation of each other’s creative output, which blossomed when Aesop Rock invited Homeboy Sandman to join him on tour in 2015. As they traveled the country together they forged a connection that extended beyond mutual admiration, yielding an impetus to collaborate. In November of 2015 they unleashed the debut Lice EP as a free gift to fans, and the resulting enthusiasm prompted them to keep it running, with the subsequent EPs following not far behind. Taken as a complete body of work, the three EPs represent some of the most convivial work in the MCs’ collective oeuvres, a veritable infestation of ill.
