Hairball – The Myth – Saint Paul – March 1, 2014

On March 1, 2014, Hairball return to The Myth in Saint Paul.  Being the most popular cover band in the Midwest, Hairball is in high demand and have been working on a constant basis, showing not only the Midwest, but the world, what they are made of.

Hairball is not only a cover band, it is downright theatrical.  Unlike traditional cover bands, they go the extra mile, which keeps their fans coming to the show in droves.  They not only cover the music of numerous bands fantastically, but they dress the part in costumes and wigs that mimic people such as Dee Snider, Gene Simmons, David Lee Roth, Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, and many more.  Just when one thinks that is enough, they realize that they have taken the time to match the artist’s stage moves, such as Prince’s dances and facial expressions.  Their show consists of pyrotechnics, fire breathing, blood spitting, balloon popping, and more.

A number of artists are covered that night, from the set that people are used to seeing, to some new ones.  Fans are treated to many of their favorites, such as Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, Poison, AC/DC, and many other artists.  On this particular evening, they played “The Final Countdown” by Europe, a newer cover for them.  Some of the newer ones consist of W.A.S.P., Cheap Trick, and Ozzy Osbourne.

If given the chance to see Hairball, take the time.  Not only are you in for an incredibly fun show, it is something that is put together incredibly well.  The band is one that has worked hard for over a decade to perfect their craft and it shows.  They keep their faithful fans coming back over and over again, some fans so dedicated that they have Hairball tattoos.  One is in for a treat each time they see the band and are guaranteed to see them again.
