Bruce Dickinson – Spoken Word Tour – Minneapolis & Des. Monies – Feb 14th / 16th 2022

Review and photos by Kyle Hansen

Bruce finally got his spoken word tour on track in the beginning of 22. I had the please sure of going to 2 of the shows. Here in Minneapolis and one in Des Monies Iowa a few days later. Here is a small breakdown on what happened at both shows.

The show is basically a cliff notes to his growing up and his time in Maiden to now. He is very funny recalling his time in school and growing up. To then finding music and wanting to be in a band. Great stories of forming and small pubs in England while playing to 3 people.  Samson was his first major band before maiden and has a bunch of great road stories.  The Maiden section is shorter than I expected but still amazing. Love the Rock n Rio section. He then went into his solo album time and going to Sarajevo. There was also a lot of pilot and flying stories. The best one was the one with Nicko. He also touched a bit on his cancer and how he got through it. The first half was about 80 minutes and then there was a second half with questions from the audience. He did answer mine about playing Alexander the Great someday. He also gave us one line. Overall it was great seeing him in a small place talking about his life. Now UP THE IRONS time for Legacy of the Beast 22 tour in October.
